In an age of increased prosperity, why have leaders on the left chosen racial division to drive a wedge between American citizens? As a strategy, the left has created a climate of social anxiety to prevent their followers from leaving due to terrible policies, and understanding their rights are slowly being taken away from the self-proclaimed party of purity. They attack their opponents using violence and an onslaught of subjective language to imply racism without any facts to back it up. For example, they use blanket statements such as “Whites owe African Americans reparations” or “Institutional Racism.” These statements are used to dehumanize people that do not share their particular ideology. It also distracts from the horrible policies they have enacted, which have created detestable living conditions in major cities. Inner cities where minority populations are densest have not prospered from democrat policies. They have suffered from a system that gives them enough to keep their votes while blaming Republicans’ for their failures. Having a sympathetic media willing to discard journalistic ethics, has given the left a megaphone to disseminate false narratives supporting these outlandish positions. Unfortunately, these tactics are all too real and will have lasting consequences on our republic’s future.

“The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.”
Saul Alinsky
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.”
Saul Alinsky
“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.”
Saul Alinsky

“Never let a crisis go to waste”
Rahm Emanuel

So, what are the real goals behind the anti-statue movement being pushed by the left? One is to tear down any semblance to the formation of our republic and the Constitution. By destroying our history, they can remake the past in their image. Thus, whittling away at the foundation of our constitutional republic. These tactics have been used many times throughout history as a way to take control by destroying the foundation of a society slowly. In Afghanistan, the Taliban destroyed statues, monuments, schools, books, art, and religious artifacts that represented a rich amalgamation of culture and art. This helped them control the people by keeping them uneducated of the past. In Russia, the Bolsheviks suppressed their opponents in the Red Terror, a violent campaign directed by the state security services, that killed and interned thousands in concentration camps. Hitler brought about censorship, ended civil liberties, and passed the enabling act, which made him a dictator. He then banned all other political parties, making the NSDAP the sole political party in Germany.
In contrast, The United States was founded on the principle that all men are created equal, and the Constitution provides these rights to everyone, regardless of skin color. We have the freedom to assemble peacefully, are innocent until proven guilty, have the freedom of speech, the right to keep and bear arms, etc., That does not seem like the work of oppressors, but of a nation correcting past injustices. Abraham Lincoln believed that the founding fathers intended that all men were created equal and were given certain inalienable rights by God. Furthermore, in his emancipation proclamation speech, Lincoln laid the symbolic groundwork for eradicating slavery by stating, “henceforward shall be free.” Soon after, work on the 13th Amendment started, ending with its passage in 1865. George Washington and the other founding fathers created a nation built on an idea that was incompatible with slavery, which led to its inevitable demise. It’s also worth noting that the protesters behind the anti-monument movement benefit from the right to protest peacefully. They also what to remove statues of Gandhi, who utilized peaceful protests and successfully campaigned for independence from British rule.
So, what is the real motivation behind the anti-monument movement from the left? Many of the major players in this movement from BLM, ANTIFA, and other leftist groups, are devout Marxists and have admitted so numerous times. Their goal is for the complete takeover and the subjugation of the masses. If you do not think like them, have the same beliefs, or your skin color is different, you are subjected to harassment, violent attacks, and the destruction of your property. Yet everything they profess to be against, they are committing daily. If this movement indeed was about Fascism and black lives, why are they proposing policies that hurt black communities the most (defund the police, segregation)? It’s because this isn’t about African Americans, but the lefts ambition to win elections.
