What is happening to our society? As Americans, we are bombarded with sensationalist news stories which deceive viewers into believing prepackaged narratives. Both sides of the political spectrum are somewhat guilty, but what is going on now is unmitigated propaganda. The media’s extreme leftward lurch has saturated news coverage with ideological bias painting narratives rather than providing factual news. Consequently, our society is being ripped apart by the constant inflammatory rhetoric pushing cancel culture and a slew of other leftist talking points.
In 2018, researchers from Texas A&M University and Arizona State University conducted interviews with 462 journalists nationwide to determine the level of bias within our news media. What they found was not surprising given the current climate of political reporting. What was alarming was the disproportionate breakdown of political views within newsrooms. The journalists questioned worked for the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, and other newspapers. Their research found that there was a 13 to 1 bias in favor of liberals over conservatives. In 2018, a survey was done by Rasmussen Reports gauging likely voter’s perceptions of the media. They found that 45 percent of all likely voters believed the press was trying to help the Democrats. Conversely, the survey found that 35 percent thought the news unbiased. Furthermore, 48 percent of respondents believe that media reporting is unwarranted and biased against President Trump.
Whether the media wants to admit it or not, this is a colossal problem for them, and it’s more significant than they realize. The stain of bias now infects all of journalism, not just opinion writers. This is starting to turn off readers, and now, they are seeking alternatives.
One of the most egregious examples of not reporting news that negatively affects the Democrat Party is the meeting where Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans met to game out various potential outcomes during the 2020 election. In a piece by Michael Anton called Democrats are laying the groundwork for a revolution right in front of our eyes, he illustrates some craziness not being reported on. One such result in the meeting was a complete victory by Donald Trump. John Podesta(Clinton Advisor), who played Joe Biden, refused to concede and moved to push states not to award their electoral college points and or Democrat-controlled states should secede from the union. He also trusted that the military would take care of the rest. This group is also fully funded by George Soros. In Addition, Two former Army Officers who are very prominent in the Democrat-aligned “national security” think tank world wrote a troubling letter to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs’ of Staff. In the letter, they urged him to deploy the 82nd airborne to drag the president from the Oval Office at precisely 12:01 PM, January 20, 2021. Biden later asserted on many occasions that the military would “escort [Trump] from the White House with great dispatch.” Less than one month later, Hillary Clinton stated that Biden should not concede “under any circumstances.” Where is the breathless reporting about this? Where are all the reports melting down on live television talking about the left wanting to destroy our Republic? Where are the reporters clamoring for justice to be served? Nowhere because it includes Democrats.
Unfortunately, the media lies about everything, including the Green New Deal, Taxes, Court Packing, and a slew of others to prop up Joe Biden while pushing fake stories about Trump with no evidence to back their claims. When people get their news, they are not told about ANTIFA and the far-left extremists destroying cities and threatening violence over the election. Still, they will willingly use hypotheticals to label the far right as the main danger to Society. When Biden started his campaign on a lie stating that Trump called Nazis and the white supremacists very fine people, the media applauded him instead of fact-checking his statement. Meanwhile, the lie created by Democrats permeates throughout the press, never being corrected and never being labeled false.

While the media continues to protect Joe Biden and not report on his many positions and racist comments, they continually lie, creating fake narratives meant to diminish President Trump. The media has become one of the main antagonists in our society, pushing false information and creating division amongst every group in America. As a result, the media’s continuous gaslighting has led to many cities being set ablaze and Trump supporters being shot and killed by leftist rioters. This type of division never ends peacefully, so the media must stop inflaming tensions and act as honest purveyors of the news.
